Sunset 11.7.05

This sunset came with a sundog, which is always cool. I'm no expert, but it seems like this happens more frequently in the later fall months. This was taken outside my office window--a small perk to my job. In the 3rd and 5th picture, you can see the sundog in the bottom right corner. In the 7th pic, it's really hard to see, but there was some weird coloring in the cloud above the sun, at the top. It looked like a sundog up there. I guess it's part of the 22° Halo phenomenon. Cool.

*I'm not very techy, so if anyone can tell me how to make it so people can click on the picture to see a larger view, that would be great. Thanks.

Sorrento Sun

This picture was taken during our family trip to Italy. That's always neat when you can see the sun rays, or whatever they are, shooting out in between clouds.

Shadow Shot/ SB Sunrise

These pictures are of my wife and I in Santa Barbara for a sunrise at Shoreline Park. I wish I had more shots of this sunrise. It was awesome. Santa Barbara is a great place for sunrises and sunsets and beaches and surfing and warm weather and why do I live in Indiana?

Ship Sunrise

This shot is another in Santa Barbara, with a ship sailing by. Well, it's not really sailing, is it? I think it may have been the same sunrise as the two with my wife, but I can't remember anymore. Probably, but it's pretty cool I guess.

Sun Dog 11.9.05

I took these shots on the way home from work one day. See how in the first photo, there's two sundogs on either side of the sun? The sun is actually behind that huge cloud and the sundogs are parallel to it. If you ever see one sundog, look for the other one. I guess it's always like that.
